RECREATIONAL POLICIES

Default Everest Policies

ALL PARENTS:

  • You are responsible for your child’s behavior and safety while in the waiting room.

  • Please do not leave any of your children unattended in the facility outside of their scheduled class, event, or camp.

  • For the safety of staff and students, parents are not permitted inside the gym during independent classes (except for Parent & Me classes). We will notify you if your presence is needed.

  • Please remain in designated viewing areas and avoid crowding in hallways and gym pathways.

  • For safety reasons, photography and videography are not permitted.

ILLNESSES:

  • Do not bring sick children or sick siblings to the gym.

  • If your child has had a fever, yellow or green nasal mucus, vomiting, or diarrhea in the past 24 hours, they should remain at home.

  • Children must be fever-free for 24 hours without the aid of medication before returning.

  • Your cooperation is appreciated by the Everest staff and your child’s classmates.

STUDENT DROP-OFF & PICK-UP:

  • Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the scheduled start time of your child’s class.

  • Parents must wait in the lobby with their child until they are called into the gym.

  • Students must be picked up promptly at the scheduled end time of their class.

  • Parents are required to enter the building for pick-up. Children will not be permitted to walk to the parking lot unattended.

  • Preschool-aged children: A parent or guardian must remain in the facility during class.

HOLIDAYS:

INCLEMENT WEATHER:

  • We do not follow school system closings for inclement weather.

  • Please check our Facebook page, Twitter, or website at www.everest-gymnastics.com for updates.

INSURANCE:

  • All students must carry personal health insurance.

PROPER ATTIRE:

  • Acceptable attire:

    • One-piece leotards

    • Fitted t-shirts and athletic shorts

  • Oversized clothing that may block vision when inverted is not permitted.

  • Please avoid:

    • Leotards with attached skirts

    • Bare midriffs

    • Clothing with buttons, snaps, or zippers

  • Athletes must be barefoot during class, as socks pose a slipping hazard.

    • Exception: Tumbling classes may wear clean, indoor-only cheer shoes.

  • Hair must be secured away from the face. Long hair should be tied in a bun or similar secure style that prevents interference with vision during inverted skills.

    • If a ponytail touches the floor during a handstand, it must be put into a bun.

  • All jewelry (except stud earrings in ear lobes) must be removed before class.

  • Personal belongings should be left in a cubby or with a parent.

  • If Everest cancels a class due to weather or special events, we will offer a scheduled make-up day and notify families via email.

Make-Up Classes

  • Please make every effort to attend your child’s regularly scheduled class.

  • If your child misses a class due to illness or injury, we offer a monthly Saturday make-up class.

  • Make-up classes:

    • Must be completed within the same month as the missed class.

    • Are subject to availability.

    • Must be scheduled in advance through your parent portal.
