Recreational Level Class Descriptions

Preschool Gymnastics

Peak Pals (50 Minutes)

  • Peak Pals class is an interactive Parent & Me program designed for children ages 2.5 to 4 years old.
  • For many, this is their first structured movement class, making it the perfect place to build social, cooperative, and listening skills.
  • Instruction on the balance beam, tumble track, trampoline, bars, and floor. Our preschool-sized equipment is designed specifically for smaller bodies.

Everest Explorers (50 Minutes)

  • Everest Explorers class is designed for children ages 3.5 to 5 years old who are ready to experience gymnastics independently
  • Young gymnasts build confidence while continuing to develop the foundational skills. Students work on balance, coordination, flexibility, strength, and body awareness.

Tiny Trailblazers (50 Minutes)

  • Tiny Trailblazers is designed for preschoolers ages 4 to 5 years old who are ready for an extra challenge and show strong focus, coordination, and body control.
  • Invite-only class is offered by instructor recommendation and provides an accelerated learning environment.
  • Students continue to develop strength, flexibility, balance, and confidence while beginning to explore more advanced movement patterns and skill

Mini Mountaineers (60 Minutes, 2x Per Week)

  • Mini Mountaineers is for preschoolers who are ready to take the next big step in their gymnastics journey.
  • Twice per week for one hour each class
  • This class offers a more structured environment with a focus on strength, flexibility, body shaping, and progressive skill development
  • Students refine form, learn proper technique, and begin to understand the discipline and focus required for future team programs.

Recreational Gymnastics

Beginner Gymnastics (55 Minutes)

  • Beginner Gymnastics is the ideal introduction for grade-school athletes who are new to the sport.
  • Gymnasts are introduced to all four main gymnastics events: vault, bars, beam, and floor, while learning proper terminology, form, and focus.
  • Foundational skills include forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, handstand preparation, and pullovers on bars with the support of mats and spotting as needed. 

Intermediate Gymnastics (55 Minutes)

  • Intermediate Gymnastics class is designed for athletes who have prior gymnastics experience & have mastered the foundational skills in Beginner Gymnastics.
  • They work on cartwheels, handstands, bridge kickovers, and round-off preparation, while continuing to strengthen pullovers from the floor and begin learning back hip circles

Advanced Gymnastics (85 Minutes)

Prerequisite Skills: Pullover on Bars, Bridge Kickover on Floor

  • Advanced Gymnastics class is invite-only for athletes who have demonstrated strong foundational skills, focus, & a desire to continue progressing
  • Allows gymnasts to refine technique, strength, flexibility, and control across all four gymnastics events.
  • As the highest level within our recreational program, this class focuses on personal growth & skill mastery

AAU Copper (85 Minutes, 2x Per Week)

  • Our AAU Copper program is a recreationally competitive option for athletes who love learning new skills and want the fun of performing with a team—no tryouts required.
  • 2–3 local meets between January and May

  • Competition and uniform fees apply in addition to monthly tuition

Tumbling

Tumbling 1 (55 Minutes)

  • Designed for beginner athletes who are new to tumbling or just beginning to explore gymnastics.
  • Students learn essential foundations: rolls, handstands, cartwheels, bridges, & basic jumps, while developing coordination, strength, & flexibility.
  • Each class focuses on safe progressions and proper technique on the floor, trampoline, and Tumbl Trak.

Tumbling 2 (55 Minutes)

Prerequisites: Forward Roll, Backward Roll, Handstand, Cartwheel, Bridge Kickover, and Backbend (from standing)

  • For athletes who have mastered basic tumbling skills and are ready for the next level of challenge.
  • Students refine form, strength, and body control while learning new progressions that connect skills and improve power and technique.
  • Work includes handstands, bridge kickovers, stronger cartwheels, round-off preparation, and shaping drills. 

Tumbling 3 (55 Minutes)

Prerequisites: Back Walkover, Front Walkover, Back Handspring (on Trampoline or Tumbl Trak)

  • Tumbling 3 athletes are ready to expand their skills and begin more dynamic tumbling progressions.
  • This class focuses on connecting skills and developing power for floor and Tumbl Trak passes.
  • Students work on standing and running back handsprings, round-off connections, front handsprings, and shaping drills for front and back tucks.

Advanced Tumbling (55 Minutes)

Prerequisites: Standing Back Handspring (with rebound), Round-Off Back Handspring (with rebound), Front Handspring, Front Tuck (into pit)

  • Advanced Tumbling challenges athletes to refine advanced power tumbling skills and master precision in timing, control, and form.
  • Training includes multiple connected back handsprings, front/back saltos, & high-level combination passes on floor, trampoline, & Tumbl Trak.
